Summary
The property is in the Grade Two listed Mansion building in the center of Glasgow. It is a two-minute walk from Sauchiehall Street and all the bars and restaurants there. The flat is on the first floor, up one flight of stairs. The rooms are large and airy and provide a beautiful space for a stay in Glasgow. Parking is resident only however we can occasionally supply parking vouchers for short stays. We would love to host you but regret that due to having lovely neighbors we are not able to accept large groups looking for a party house!
Space
Our apartment is in a Grade Two listed Mansion Flat in the centre of Glasgow – a two minute walk from Sauchiehall Street and all the bars and restaurants there. The apartment is on the first floor, up one flight of communal stairs. It is a 15 minute walk to Finneston and around 25 minutes to the Merchant City, both areas with lots of lovely restaurants and bars.
Please note: we do not have unlimited broadband data. If you are looking for a space to use as an office while downloading massive files then this may not be the right apartment for you. However if you are on holiday and simply want to check your emails, FaceTime home, search for restaurants and stream unlimited Netflix then this is the place for you!
On booking, please let us know how many beds you need made up with fresh bed linen. E.g. if there are three of you and you need all the beds made up, we need to know!
The very popular Singl-end restaurant is 20 feet from our door. The Glasgow School of Art is on the same street ( refurbished McIntosh building was due to reopen in spring 2019 before the recent devastating fire) and The Tenement House Museum is one street away. The Open Top Bus Tour stops just round the corner in Sauchiehall Street and Charing Cross station is a 10 minute walk. I guess what I am trying to say is that our flat is perfectly situated for a great stay in Glasgow, whether you are here for the nightlife, sports events, culture or shopping in the Style Mile!
There is resident only parking outside or there is a metered parking on Buccleuch Street and you can buy vouchers for short stays but honestly, you don’t need a car to stay here – everything is walking distance! It is, of course, possible to park just to unload your belongings for a few minutes.
I’m not always here to welcome you myself, however a good friend Keith will be here if I can’t.
Our flat is not toddler proofed, however older children are welcome, bearing in mind the bedding configurations. If you still wish to book a family stay we can arrange a cot and high chair at a small extra charge. Please feel free to contact me should you need any additional information. Transit
You are within easy walking distance to the City Centre via the bustling Sauchiehall Street.
The nearest subway is Cowcaddens offering a quick and inexpensive trip to the City Centre, West End and Southside areas of the city – they offer affordable day ticket options as well as singles and returns for all modes of travel.
There are also bus routes (First Bus services) that can be used alongside Sauchiehall Street.
Notes
Please note, check in and check out is not available on the 25th of December and the 1st of January.
We can arrange rental of a high chair and a travel cot if needed during your stay – please let us know in advance.
Parking vouchers can be arranged if requested in advance.
Interaction with guests
We like to give our guests space to enjoy their time in Glasgow but we are available should there be any issues or if you have any questions.
Neighborhood
The flat is in the Garnethill area of Glasgow City Centre, close to restaurants, nightlife, culture, and shopping in the Style Mile. The Glasgow School of Art and the Tenement House Museum are nearby. Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is a 10-minute walk through the park. The SSE Hydro is a 15-minute walk. Charing Cross Station is a 10-minute walk and the Open Top Bus stops rounds the corner. The very popular Singl-End Restaurant is on the same street.
Access
Guests will have access to the entire property throughout their stay. All check in details will be sent in advance via our electronic guidebook link.
