Summary
Oakbank Cottage is our cozy hideaway situated near the village of Luss within the Loch Lomond National Park. Sleeping 4 adults and 2 kids there are stunning walks and easy access to Loch Lomond for all sorts of outdoor activities. Our beautiful country garden is filled with wild birds and plants, all of which can be enjoyed from our hot tub. Pizza lovers can get stuck into the wood-burning pizza oven or get tucked up inside next to the wood-burning stove. Start the day off with a sauna!
Space
The cottage is based all on one level, although there are a couple of small steps within. We do not accept bookings for stag/hen parties, our cottage is suited for families and couples. You will have access to the entire house with a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, and more. We supply hotel-quality bed linen and towels. We can stock the fridge with specific items in advance if requested also! A walk straight out the back door and up the hill behind us for 15 minutes and you will be rewarded with one of the most stunning views of Loch Lomond. Small, short-haired dogs are allowed.
Transit
As we are a rural setting public transport is pretty limited. We’d advise having your own vehicle in order to get around easily. The nearest train station is in Balloch, from there you could take a taxi.
For those with cars, our cottage is based just off the main A82 road. This road will take you past Inverbeg and onto Tarbet where the road splits and can take you all along the West Coast. You will never see roadside views like this.
If you want to travel in style we can get discounted rates on boats on the loch, the best way to explore the islands and other areas such as Ben Lomond.
Notes
We can arrange rental of a high chair and a travel cot if needed during your stay
Please note, check in is not available on the 25th of December and the 1st of January.
For insurance purposes, the lead booker must be over 25. ID verification is required on all bookings.
Interaction with guests
We’ll be available on the phone for guests and can also offer advice on where to go, how to get there etc.
Neighborhood
Loch Lomond is the biggest fresh water ‘Lake’ in the UK and is the gateway to the Scottish Highlands. We may be biased, but we don’t think there are many more beautiful places around than here! Only 30 mins from Glasgow airport and also nearby the beautiful tourist attraction of Luss village.

Our guests have access to the whole property and all amenities while they are staying with us at the cottage.
